What people Have SaidFeedback ReceivedReceived February 7th 2011Hello Susan and Colin, I'm a Missourian who has been searching for an inspirational version of"Shenandoah" to use at my memorial service (simply planning ahead for itwhile I still have my health), and I would be honored if you would grant mepermission to use your version posted at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ST1gz45ZKo Click here Your performance of this song is an impeccable, deeply-moving interpretationin a most tranquil setting. Susan's rich alto voice is aurally mesmerizing, and I am humbled by the beauty of your collaborative work of art, a giftfrom God that I didn't expect to receive today. If you have not already done so, please consider auditioning for"Australia's Got Talent" or another similar program so that the rest of theworld might have an opportunity to appreciate your talent as I have today. Thank you, most sincerely! Gene Gene WeberSt. Louis, MO, USA "Your website reveals your compatibility and the wonderful service of good music you both offer to us all. I listen to your music, in a class by itself, with words I can hear and understand, and with a melody that is suitable and fitting for those of us who choose not to lead a frenetic life style fueled by cacophony, and indistinguishable and often rude and crude, lyrics." Helen Larsen, Santa Barbara, California. "Dear Susan, Colin & Bob. Thank you for the beautiful entertainment you provided at our recent birthday party. We do not often have a group of your quality...Certainly we will endeavour to invite you again some time in the future." Kath Tanian, President Morwell Senior Citizens. "Take some time to come and listen to this fabulous duo. Colin & Sue have delighted many people with their remarkable sound." Bonnie Medley, Proprietor of the Barn On Jacksons, Jindivick. "Thankyou for your contribution to our reunion. The feedback was so positive about your music and choice of songs, and Sue, 'you are a star'! The people loved your voice and were still talking about you the next day." Max Cameron, Nilma |
AppearancesSebastapol Seniors BallaratFollowing on from their visit to the Musical village last year Sue and I have been invited over for the Sebastapol Senior Citizens birthday Functon at Ballarat on Wednesday 12th September. Our BlogSecond Butter Factory ConcertWe enjoyed another great reception at our second "Songs Through The Ages" concert at the Old Drouin Butter Factory on Saturday May 16th. With Terry Cupples joining us on bass, and with Bob on mandolin we were given some wonderful compliments at the end of the show. New CDFrom Both Sides
As at 21st September 2011 we have just completed recording our 4th CD, which will be called "From Both Sides" reflecting both Susan's and my backgrounds as we were both born on the other side of the world in the UK. Sue has spent all but ten years of her life here in Australia, and I have spent half of mine here too. This is our home. There are 17 songs on the CD and we are now about to send off for copyright authority before organising a 500 CD print sometime in October. This will allow us to launch the CD mid November at the Darnum Musical Village. Our particular thanks to Brenden Morris who provided some great Double Bass music to many of our songs, and to John Reid, on drums/percussion. John's touch has been a terrific asset on this and on previous recordings. Please let us know if you wish to recieve an invitation to the launch, as we are expecting a full house at the Village. Some of the songs : Both Sides Now; Carolina In My Mind; Vincent; The Rose; Will you still Love Me Tomorrow and many others requested by so many of you who have heard us perform. A full list of songs will appear soon! The CD will be priced at just $15, as we have recorded and produced the CD in our own studio. The concert date is Sunday 20th November from 2pm. There is a $5 Venue Cover Charge, and there will be tea and coffee provided, with soft drinks for sale. BYO alcohol. |
